First "SHIBUYA NODOJIMAN," a new event connecting generations

Shibuya Ward (Mayor ： Ken Hasebe), in cooperation with the SHIBUYA NODOJIMAN Executive Committee, will hold the first "SHIBUYA NODOJIMAN" community-based participatory karaoke contest. In recent years, the isolation of the elderly and community cooperation ・ in terms of disaster prevention have become more apparent due to the weakening of intergenerational exchange. In light of this situation, Shibuya Ward will create opportunities for people of all ages, from children to the elderly, to interact through karaoke, which has a high affinity with "health" and "sports. In addition, through exchanges through singing, we will promote health and strengthen community ties, as well as revitalize Shibuya's unique music ・ entertainment culture. Furthermore, we plan to collaborate with the community FM "Shibuya Radio" to gather information in the event of a disaster and to promote understanding of the ward government. As a music event that anyone can easily participate in, we will create and widely disseminate new local culture from Shibuya, a center of culture.

■ Features of the event
1. Intergenerational Karaoke Exchange
A wide range of generations from children to the elderly will come together and deepen exchanges through singing. This is a warm and open competition that values not only singing ability, but also enjoyment and individuality. Preliminary rounds are held in each region of the district, North ・ Central ・ South, and this helps to revitalize the local community.

2. Collaborative project with community FM "Shibuya Radio"
Guests who are active in the community are invited to introduce the attraction and highlights of the competition, as well as the singing voices from the preliminary rounds and the excitement of the venue. This is an effort to convey the attractiveness of Shibuya through the voices of the residents themselves, as well as to publicize the usefulness of radio as a means of communicating information in times of disaster.
