YouMe, a calligrapher from Kumamoto ・, will hold a solo exhibition in Paris. YouMe will exhibit 30 works of traditional calligraphy reconstructed as art by adding a contemporary approach to it.
YouMe, who overcame various life ordeals and began her career as an artist, has redefined calligraphy, which she has practiced since childhood, as her "purpose in life. Just like the calligraphy, when you understand what is truly important to you, your life will change for the better. As if embodying this belief, YouMe has been expanding the scope of its activities at an astonishing speed since its full-scale launch in 2021, and has been selected to exhibit at the Salon d'Automne, a pioneer in contemporary art, and Le Salon, the world's oldest public exhibition.
YouMe's world of work gently touches on the pain and hope of life, and gives the viewer a sense of awareness.
